Worst food I have had for many years. The CDL Idaho location was terrible. The eggs were very rubbery, the pancakes were hard and needed to be cut with a knife, the Ham was hard and very small in size. The bacon was over cooked and the sausage was like a Hockey puck. Went to one of your restaurants # 543 and was served by a young lady called Megan #1900225 and while talking found out she was new. This young woman was simply a pleasure to talk with and her wonderful attitude towards the public was so nice to see.
Megan S. 1853004 was our server and it was wonderful! !She was so friendly and catered to our every wish. This girl has her head on straight. She made the whole dining experience delightful along with the great food.
We had Josilyn S 1901400 today and she was great. Treated us like family and was very delightful .Food was great as usual and Josilyn made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal For being on her first day on the job she passed the test. Hope we have her the next time we visit!
On October 21, 2020, we decided to place a take out order thru store #315, Oxford, Al., at around 10 minutes till 5 pm. Our first call was never answered, it rang and rang over and over. We hung up and called again only to experience the same thing. We drove to the store and placed out order, then drove home.
Great place to eat and relax but at the location in Newport News VA. (Store #184) they take forever to bring your food back. My wife an I wait almost 30 minutes. Sorry but it will take sometime before we are back. Enjoy

Worst visit I ever had at a cracker barrel Adele the waitress seemed like she could careless what we were ordering me my wife to be ,one of my daughters and 2 of my grand kids had driven over a several hundred mill trip to be in Martinsburg West Virginia and go to the cracker barrel there. The manager caught wind of it on the way out door took 3 sodas off my bill ,I know he was trying to be nice but that was not the problem. The waitress that was doing more than A. Got most of what we were wanting while Adele stayed in bathroom . I hope she is ok with no severe problems at home and really no problems with anything else. We ate at the Cracker Barrel Store #482 in Altoona,PA. We had a very friendly and attentive waitress named Marge. She kept checking with us and filled our drinks quite quickly.Kudos to her. We enjoyed the food very much–even so much that the sides could have been a bit larger in portion. I love the grits, but the side order was a very small dish. I guess I envisioned a cereal bowl-sized order. That would be the only improvement I would suggest.
We like going to cracker barrel alot and last nite we tried their southern chicken special and it was dried and over cooked and too crunchy, was not pleased at all with their chicken .

Now for the second time in about 3 weeks we visited a cracker barrel in Ft. Wayne In. around 5:15 P. M. , expecting to order their Friday night fish dinner special. Both visits we were told by the Waitress that the fish was (available to order), so we did, only to be informed after waiting about 20 minutes for our dinner that it was no longer available and that they ran out already!!! So again for the 2nd time in both visits we had to re-order a different dinner, which took another 20 minutes! NOT GOOD !! Did not even get an excuse a treat a discount or I’m sorry from the Management. Well guess what, just like the old ballgame, that is strike #2 and in 3 strikes I am outta there !!!
Our food was not legally hot enough to serve. Our server ignored me when I told her our food was cold. The manager took my meal off the bill. We usually enjoy our visits there. I won’t be back for awhile.

Visited Cracker Barrel in Forest Park (Fairfield/Cincinnati area). The manager was promoting the alcohol drinks now offered by Cracker Barrel. So disappointed in seeing that Cracker Barrel is offering alcohol. It is a sad situation when you can’t go a day without alcohol. Look at the news and see the auto accidents and shootings too much alcohol causes. My food was good. My brothers chicken strips were cold and dry. He ate them anyway.

I and my sister have eaten at Cracker Barrels numerous times in many different locations. We both love the chicken and dumplings, but they have repeatedly been served only luke warm at best. Yesterday I stopped in for lunch and ordered my favorite dish. When the waitress took my order, I told her that I only had one desire, that the dish be served hot and not barely warm. Much to my complete surprise, the chicken & dumplings were served alone in a soup bowl and the food and the dish were very hot. What a difference to have the food completely hot! It was delicious and the green beans were served in a separate dish. Best meal I’ve ever had at Cracker Barrel and cudos to the waitress who listened and got it right!
Food was great. I had the fried chicken, very moist and crispy. And, I’m very picky about my fried chicken! Both meals served were hot. Waitress serving was especially nice, helpful and very prompt with our drinks and meals.
The only problem was the ladies room. It was nasty.
